Welcome to Velvet Amsterdam



Velvet Amsterdam offers comfortable, high-quality private rooms for travelers looking to stay in a beautiful location in the heart of Amsterdam.


Our rooms are located on the first floor of a renovated four-story canal house, originally built in 1930. With its blend of historic charm and modern convenience, Velvet Amsterdam provides the perfect base for exploring the city.

We are centrally located, just a short walking distance from many of Amsterdam’s top tourist attractions — including Dam Square, the Flower Market, Central Station, the Red Light District, and more.

We are a fully licensed accommodation, ideal for a maximum of 4 guests. Whether you’re visiting as a couple, with friends, or solo, we’re happy to welcome guests from all around the world.

If you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, we’re always here to help and ensure your experience is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Oudezijds Voorburgwal is indeed one of Amsterdam’s oldest and most iconic canals, dating back to 1385. It runs through the heart of the city’s historic center and has witnessed centuries of trade, culture, and daily life.

All of our rooms are 23 square meters and come with a private bathroom

Booking Information

  • We offer flexible stays, including short bookings of 1 or 2 nights, depending on availability.
  • Please note: A 3-night minimum stay is required during peak event dates (e.g. King's Day, Amsterdam Pride, major festivals or conferences).
