Getting to Velvet Amsterdam

Train

The easiest way to reach Velvet Amsterdam is by train: It is just a short walk from Amsterdam Central Station. There are six trains per hour between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Central Station with a journey time of around 20 minutes.  Tickets are available at the counter or the machine, you can also book your ticket online. CLICK HERE for tickets and more information about the trains in the Netherlands.

Taxi

You can also take a taxi from the airport. This will cost approximately 50 Euro.

Parking

Parking space in central Amsterdam is very limited, and will cost 5 Euro per hour or 45 Euro per day. There is no car access to our place between 20:00 and 7:00. There are cheaper parking options outside the City Centre, sometimes inclusive public transport or a rental bike. CLICK HERE for more info.

Walking from Central Station: just a five minutes walk

Take the main exit from the station (where the trams are). In front of you you'll see the Victoria Hotel (with a sign on the roof). It is a large white building at the beginning of Damrak. Walk straight on until you are at the Victoria Hotel, then turn left and cross the traffic lights. In front of you, you'll see a building with in blue letters on the top “God roept u   -  Jesus loves you”. At the right hand side of this building is an alley road called Nieuwebrugsteeg.  Walk to the end of this alley, then turn right and you are on Oudezijds Voorburgwal. You'll find us at number 10, above a very good Spanish/Mediterranean restaurant called Olivar. http://www.olivar.nl.
